Security management provides a unified database security solution: SSL certificate and whitelist management, plus automated security baseline checks that continuously detect configuration risks such as weak passwords, missing backups, and audit gaps. Each instance consumes one security management unit.

Each table scanned consumes one quota unit. The quota is valid for the current month and does not roll over. A free quota of 100 tables is included.

Hot and cold storage interaction:
If hot storage is not enabled, all logs go directly to cold storage.
If hot storage is enabled, newly imported logs go to hot storage first. After the hot storage period expires, logs are automatically moved to cold storage at no cost.
Billing example
Scenario: 10 GB of inbound traffic per day, SQL log storage duration set to 180 days, log indexing enabled with a 7-day hot storage duration.
SQL log storage duration is the total retention period for SQL logs. Logs are stored in cold storage by default.
To meet compliance regulations in the Chinese mainland, the cold storage duration must be at least 180 days.

The audit log record type affects the volume of logs saved and the associated fees. Customize this configuration after enabling the feature.

Enterprise Edition V3 is designed to meet Multi-Level Protection Scheme (MLPS) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements. It provides multi-AZ backup, accidental deletion recovery, and long-term retention for logs stored for more than 180 days.

Expiration policy
This policy applies to DAS O&M Service (formerly Economy Edition), Audit Log, and DAS Agent. After a subscription expires, features of the corresponding edition are disabled.

After your subscription to DAS O&M Service (formerly Economy Edition) or Audit Log expires, you can still use the features of DAS Basic Edition. For more information about the features of Basic Edition, see DAS editions.
Overdue payments
Overdue payments affect DAS Professional Edition (Enterprise Editions) — the service enters an Overdue state. O&M Service (formerly Economy Edition), which uses subscription billing, is not affected by overdue payments.

Usage history is retained for one month. History is purged if the Individual/Small Business Edition monthly fee is not paid in the following month, or if Enterprise Edition auto-renewal fails for one full month. Save your records promptly.
Renewal policy
DAS supports both manual and auto-renewal. For more information, see Manage renewals.
Enterprise Edition V1: The fee has two parts — a subscription fee and a pay-as-you-go SQL Explorer storage fee. Renewal extends the subscription period only. Keep a sufficient account balance to cover ongoing SQL Explorer storage charges.
O&M Service (formerly Economy Edition): Subscription-based. Renewal extends the subscription period.
DAS Agent: Subscription-based. Renewal extends the subscription period.
Unsubscription policy
Before unsubscribing from DAS Enterprise Edition or Alibaba Cloud Managed Services (formerly DAS Economy Edition), review the precautions in Disable DAS audit log and Alibaba Cloud Managed Services (formerly DAS Economy Edition).
After unsubscribing from DAS Enterprise Edition, SQL Explorer, Audit, and all other paid features for the corresponding database instance are disabled, and all related data is purged. To reduce costs without losing data, reduce the SQL Explorer and Audit storage duration instead of unsubscribing.
After canceling DAS O&M Service (formerly Economy Edition), all value-added features are disabled and all related historical data is purged.
After canceling DAS Agent, all DAS Agent features are disabled. Usage history is retained for 30 days.
