Database Autonomy Service:Configure alerts

Last Updated:Jun 20, 2026

The Database Autonomy Service (DAS) alert service lets you customize alert rules and alert templates. DAS automatically sends an alert when a database instance triggers an alert rule. This topic explains how to configure alerts in DAS.

Background information

Before you begin, familiarize yourself with the following concepts:

  • Alert rule: Defines the conditions for triggering an alert, such as monitoring metrics, thresholds, and notification methods. For more information, see Configure an alert rule.

  • Alert template: A collection of alert rules. An alert rule can belong to multiple alert templates. For more information, see Configure an alert template.

  • Alert contact: The recipient of alert notifications. You can organize alert contacts into different alert contact groups. For more information, see Manage alert contacts.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the DAS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Tools > Alert Service > Alert Settings.

  3. On the Alert Configuration page, select a target alert template. In the Alert Rules in Template section, confirm the alert rules and then click Next.

    • If the existing alert templates do not suit your needs, click Create Alert Template to create one.

Click Add Rule. In the page that appears, add alert rules to the new alert template. If the existing alert rules are not suitable, click Create Rule to create a new one. For more information, see Configure an alert rule.

    • Click Edit in the Actions column of the alert rule to modify its settings, such as Type, Description, Interval, Effective Time, and Notification Method. For more information, see Configure Alert Rules.

      Important

Modifying an alert rule affects all alert templates that contain the rule. Proceed with caution.

    • In the Actions column of an alert rule, click Remove to remove the alert rule from the template.

Select a target alert template, for example, Alert Template_xxx. After you confirm the alert rules in the template, click Next.

  4. Select a contact group for alert notifications and click Next.

    • If the existing alert contact groups do not suit your needs, click Create Contact Group to create one.

Click Add Contact. In the page that appears, add contacts to the new alert contact group. You can add contacts by clicking Create Contact or Synchronize CloudMonitor Contacts. For more information, see Create a contact.

    • In the Actions column of a contact, click Edit to change the contact's notification methods. For more information, see Create a contact.

    • In the Actions column of a contact, click Remove to remove the contact from the group.

Select an existing alert contact group. After you confirm the contact information, click Next.

  5. Associate the alert template with a resource type. You can choose All Resources, Cluster Resources, or Instance Resources. Then, click Submit Configuration.

  6. In the confirmation message that appears, click OK.
