Strong market demand accelerates AliCloud’s Hong Kong expansion Since the opening of AliCloud’s first Hong Kong data center in May, 2014, AliCloud Elastic Compute Service (ECS) has been selling fast. So much so that to keep up with strong market demands, AliCloud have since opened a second availability zone to provide scalable computing and disaster recovery services for the Hong Kong region. Products The products on offer at the new availability zone are AliCloud Elastic Compute Service(ECS), Relational Database Service (RDS), Object Storage Service (OSS), Server Load Balancer, CloudMonitor and Anti-DDoS. Virtual Private Cloud services will be launched in the coming days to enable users to establish customized network environments. Tier III Security As per Uptime Institute standards, the security of Hong Kong AZ2 is above Tier III and has an expected availability of 99.99% improving efficiency and protecting against single point of failure. Network Coverage BGP network covers Southeast Asia users with high speed bandwidth and lower latency. Network coverage includes Hong Kong, Taiwan, mainland China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and Macau.
