Windows same SID error
Provision a new Windows Server 2016 and setup as new Active Directory Forest.
On the 2nd Window Server 2016 and when I try to join domain, it gave me SID error due to same SID in the image. What is the way to have different SID for the Windows Image? |

Run sysprep.exe in a command line to generate a new SID. |

Hi Hanneng,
I had the same issue of same SID, I need to join machine to domain, I used sysprep to change the SID, after restart I can not login into ECS, when I check on VNC console.. black boot creen is shown..seems like it can not find windows bootable disk. please advise. |

if you save a Windows VM to a template and then redeploy another copy with the intention of adding both machines to the same domain, a “duplicate SID” error displays. This error only occurs when you copy a VM in an environment to the same environment
