A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)

Hi Sid,

Could you please provide some more details as to, SQL version,  Is it running on ECS instance? Are you trying to connect to SQL server hosted in different ECS instance than your application? Do you have same virtual network for both the ECS Instance?
Did you check the status of 1433 port? If you go to SQL Server configuration manager and check the instance, did you see named pipe is enabled? check windows firewall settings for 1433 port

Thanks

Is it RDS - MS SQL or MS SQL installed on ECS instance?
