Hi
I am trying out the Alibaba services for webhosting I bought a server in HK for the $11 or so for the first year (I thought this would come out of my $300 credit but as Im sure most of you know it came out of my paypal) I then bought a .win domain for $0.20 to point to that server (I'm still waiting for the domain to resolve. Not sure if I have done that right as I'm used to DNS servers. How long should it take to resolve after doing the CNAME thing in the ali interface?) I'm curious what can I use my $300 credit for ? I'm a very small user at this point. Maybe 300MB of space, one mysql and about 20 users on my site in total. My users are my students using my custom software to review english. So the main thing I want is to give them (they are in China) good response times and quick downloads of the 100kb or so mp3 files. I saw some ECS plans starting at $4.50 per month. What benefit will this give me ? My site seems to be working fine without it so not sure why anyone would spend this money Appreciate the help Thanks |

Update :
I successfully binded 2 domain names, one from GoDaddy and the $0.20 from Alibaba However its still asking me to log in the same as if I open the test domain directly (blahblah.aliwebs.com) So bascially no one can open my website apart from me ? How do I enable the site to open to anyone ? Thanks |

I think your issue cause CNAME bind. if you only add CNAME record at DNS, you also can't access your web hosting, you need bind domain at web hosting console. you can refer follow up the link.
