In Asia and especially Korea and China, skin care is essential, and for a few retailers Alibaba Cloud technology is increasingly being adopted and applied by not just the biggest of tech companies but by ordinary citizens. Alibaba Cloud technology is now being used to increase people's quality of life. AramHuvis, a Korean company specializing in the development of K-beauty and K-Healthcare devices, is one such example. Founded in 2002, AramHuvis started out as a skin analysis device company. AramHuvis is a global champion in this field, distributing skin & hair analysis devices to more than 70 countries and Loreal and P&G group, the world's first and second largest cosmetics companies. In 2016, they moved to the Healthcare Innovation Park in Bundang Seoul National University Hospital and worked with SNU faculty to expand our business towards customized skincare and healthcare businesses. AramHuvis has done its best to "make customers' skin & hair healthy and beautiful, " and will continue to expand in the industry. AramHuvis has developed the world's first mobile skin care diagnostic system and provides its state-of-the-art skin analysis service to foreign and domestic cosmetics companies such as L’Oreal, P&G, Amorepacific and LG Household & Health Care. Amorepacific, a leading beauty company in Korea, offers AramHuvis' skin diagnosis service at more than 1,200 Innisfree stores.

The "Beauty Cloud," currently being developed by AramHuvis, is pursuing a system that not only recommends cosmetics customized for each user’s skin condition by analyzing skin data with Alibaba Cloud artificial intelligence, but also builds a global skin map by analyzing big data. In the future, such data can be used for research purposes to fight skin cancer and other skin diseases.

AramHuvis' "Healthcare Cloud" is a fusion of medical imaging technology with a personal healthcare device, a thermometer.. The ear, nose, mouth, tooth image, skin image, moisture data, and home temperature and humidity data can be acquired while measuring the body temperature. PHR (Personal Health Record) self-diagnosis enables disease prevention and real-time telemedicine.

AramHuvis needed a worldwide cloud provider that would be available in Asia and regions across the globe. They also required a cloud network to process massive data sets in order to offer customers a mobile and onsite skin and health diagnostic solution. In the end, Alibaba Cloud gave AramHuvis the speed they needed and a 20 % reduction in operational cost. By leveraging Alibaba Cloud, they were able to launch "Beauty Cloud" and "Healthcare Cloud" application and by working with Alibaba Cloud engineers, they are currently testing both the K beauty cloud and K healthcare cloud applications to work in concert with their medical devices.
