Reporttee Intelligence is an AI company based in Thailand, specializing in data analytics and AI technologies to help customers manage massive datasets intelligently and efficiently. The company has been developing its own Data&AI business to support clients across the AP region, the Middle East, and Europe.

By the end of 2024, Reporttee Intelligence’s data platform scaled to over 2 petabytes, supporting 1.7 billion monthly transactions. While this growth brought valuable insights, it also introduced significant costs.

The engineering-driven management team had to assess whether the existing tools were both cost-effective and delivering value. This required a deep analysis of infrastructure, data usage patterns, and ROI. Optimizing the platform while maintaining high performance became a key focus.

To better manage its rapidly growing data operations—reaching up to 100,000 transactions per month—Reporttee Intelligence transitioned from Databricks to Alibaba Cloud. This strategic move was driven by the need for greater cost-efficiency and architectural optimization. Alibaba Cloud’s AnalyticDB (ADB) and Data Management Service (DMS) provided a robust alternative, offering features that aligned better with the company’s growing data demands.

ADB’s decoupled storage and compute architecture, combined with auto-scaling and high concurrency support, significantly reduced infrastructure overhead. DMS introduced fine-grained access control, comprehensive auditing, and strong governance—ensuring compliance across large-scale operations.

Most critically, the migration maintained, and in some areas improved system performance. This move also enabled tighter integration with the company’s existing Alibaba Cloud infrastructure, streamlining operations and improving cost transparency.

After migrating to Alibaba Cloud’s AnalyticDB (ADB) and Data Management Service (DMS), Reporttee Intelligence improved workload efficiency by 30%.

Building on the success of migrating to AnalyticDB and DMS, Reporttee Intelligence is now exploring broader adoption of Alibaba Cloud services to power its full infrastructure. This next phase aims to unify data, compute, and network layers under a single cloud ecosystem—driving greater efficiency, simplified management, and deeper integration. By leveraging more of Alibaba Cloud’s capabilities, Reporttee Intelligence is preparing for future growth with a flexible, cloud-native foundation.
