The Stories Unearthed: WAN AI Video Challenge invites creators from all backgrounds to transform archaeological discoveries and heritage narratives into compelling short-form videos. Using AI-powered video generation, bring fragments
of the past to life and make history more accessible and engaging for today’s audiences.

Judges
David Yam is a Senior Solution Architect at Alibaba Cloud, where he partners with enterprise clients across diverse industries to architect and deploy scalable, data-driven solutions. He harnesses Alibaba Cloud’s comprehensive portfolio of AI and Big Data technologies to solve complex business challenges, including cutting-edge video and image generation for content production.
Additionally, David integrates intelligent agents to optimize operations and enhance user experiences, enabling organizations to accelerate and refine their digital transformation strategies with modern cloud-native and Large Language Model (LLM)-enabled paradigms. Through his expertise, clients are empowered to leverage advanced technologies for impactful business outcomes.
Shao is a Singapore-based entrepreneur and AI builder with over a decade of experience designing and shipping digital products and AI systems. He is the CEO of Fooyo, a smart tourism and AI knowledge base & workflow automation company, and CTO of Just-in-Time AI, delivering edge AI solutions for manufacturing and finance.
Having participated in and mentored more than 20 hackathons across Asia and Europe, Shao brings deep experience helping teams turn ideas into real-world solutions. His work focuses on AI-driven storytelling, automation, and applied AI innovation.
Ms Asmah Alias is the Director of Galleries, Exhibitions and Museums (GEM) which manages Children’s Museum Singapore, Reflections at Bukit Chandu, Changi Chapel and Museum, and ArCH Square. She oversees the overall strategy, programming, exhibition curation, and daily operations across all four institutions.
With over 15 years of experience in the museum, heritage, and education sectors, Asmah previously served as General Manager of the Malay Heritage Centre and was a lecturer at Republic Polytechnic.
Since 2018, she has been a board member of the International Council of Museums’ Committee for Education and Cultural Action (ICOM-CECA), where she played a key role in bringing the ICOM-CECA Annual Conference to Singapore—and Southeast Asia—for the first time in 2023.
