ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server supports dedicated, general-purpose, and shared instance families. This topic describes the features supported by each instance family of ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server.

RDS SQL Server primary instance

  • The following content applies to ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server instances that run Standard Edition, Enterprise Edition, and Web Edition.

  • RDS SQL Server instances with disk storage are built on Elastic Compute Service (ECS). Different instances may use different ECS instance types, which may result in performance differences.
