Mount target hibernation

The hibernation feature is supported for idle mount targets of General-purpose NAS file systems. If a mount target has not been accessed in the last two months and no data is stored in the file system, the mount target will automatically enter the sleep mode and the file system will be released. After the mount target enters the sleep mode, you can no longer use the mount target. You can re-enable the mount target by using API operations or the NAS console.

2023-09-15

The hibernation feature is supported in all regions except the China South 1 Finance region.

Storage usage monitoring for the IA storage class

NAS supports storage usage monitoring for the Infrequent Access (IA) storage class. The storage usage of the IA storage class can be viewed in the NAS console or the CloudMonitor console. Alert rules can be configured in CloudMonitor to monitor the storage usage of the IA storage class.

Storage usage monitoring for General-purpose NAS file systems

The storage usage of General-purpose NAS file systems can be monitored by using CloudMonitor in real time. The following information can be viewed: the data volume of General-purpose NAS file systems (excluding the IA storage class), the data volume of the IA storage class, and the number of files.

One-click mount

General-purpose NFS file systems can be mounted, queried, and unmounted in the NAS console. When an NFS file system is mounted on an Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance, all available Linux ECS instances are automatically listed. After a Linux ECS instance is selected, the mount parameters that can ensure the optimal performance of the file system are automatically applied.

Data retrieval

The lifecycle management feature of General-purpose NAS file systems is supported by SMB file systems. The files that are stored in the IA storage class can be viewed and can be restored to the storage space of a General-purpose NAS file system.

Resource plans

A resource plan is a type of subscription billing method that offers higher discounts than the pay-as-you-go billing method. Compared with a storage plan, a resource plan does not need to be bound to a file system. Multiple resource plans can be purchased to offset the storage usage fees of multiple file systems.
