Global competition is intensifying. Poor cross-regional data collaboration, delayed business decisions, and supply chain data silos are common pain points for Chinese companies expanding globally. As a leader in the global electronic atomization industry, Heaven Gifts operates in more than 100 countries and regions. As the company expanded, it faced two major data challenges: global business operations and supply chain management.
By leveraging the powerful data analytics, visualization, and multi-source collaboration capabilities of Alibaba Cloud Quick BI, Heaven Gifts resolved key pain points in cross-border operations, digitized its global business, and made decision-making more agile. This demonstrates Quick BI’s core strengths in supporting global enterprises and addressing cross-border operational challenges.

“Sales teams need to review reports every day. Supply chain teams need to check inventory in a timely manner. We often had to manually sort through various data sources, repeatedly verify the data, and then sync it with business teams. By the time the data was ready, the best decision window had already passed,” recalled the head of the Big Data Department at Heaven Gifts.
Against this backdrop, cross-regional operational challenges became even more prominent. Consumer behavior and promotional cycles vary significantly across countries and regions. Combined with cross-time-zone collaboration barriers, manually created reports suffered from inconsistent standards and delayed delivery. They also failed to meet the differentiated data needs of different regions. As a result, frontline sales teams struggled to track performance progress in time, while management was unable to monitor global sales dynamics in a timely and coordinated manner. This directly reduced overall decision-making efficiency.
Cross-border supply chain collaboration posed equally complex challenges. The Heaven Gifts supply chain covers procurement, quality inspection, cross-border logistics, overseas warehousing, terminal sales, and end-to-end after-sales services. It involves more than a dozen business stages, 7 core departments, 40 data tables, and more than 100 business metrics. Previously, data standards, statistical periods, and metric definitions varied across departments, creating disconnected data silos. This led to inventory forecasting errors and order fulfillment delays, while also reducing cross-department collaboration efficiency and increasing overall operating costs.

Faced with multiple overlapping digital challenges, the traditional model of manual data processing could no longer meet the needs of global business operations. Heaven Gifts urgently needed a professional and intelligent BI tool to break through these limitations. Alibaba Cloud Quick BI proved to be the right fit for the company’s digital transformation needs, offering core strengths such as global deployment, multi-source data integration, flexible visualization configuration, and high-performance concurrent processing. It also laid a solid data foundation for the future deployment of AI-powered applications.

To address Heaven Gifts’ core challenges, Alibaba Cloud Quick BI used capabilities such as multi-source integration, interactive drill-down, self-service analytics, and real-time alerts to build four core dashboards. These dashboards reshaped the company’s cross-border operating model across three dimensions: data governance, cross-regional collaboration, and agile decision-making. This enabled a full transformation from manual reviews to data-driven operations.
Alibaba Cloud Quick BI efficiently integrated heterogeneous data sources such as ODPS, HOLO, and Excel, while completing data cleansing and standardized governance. It aligned standards across more than 40 data tables and 100+ core metrics, helping Heaven Gifts build a standardized online reporting system. This broke down departmental data barriers at the source, enabled real-time sharing of end-to-end supply chain data, and solved the problems of slow data delivery and low data reuse.
Using the core capabilities of Quick BI, Heaven Gifts comprehensively addressed its supply chain control challenges:
Today, business teams can receive alerts in a timely manner and dynamically adjust inventory strategies. Management can simply use a mobile phone to view the global order delivery heatmap and optimize forecasting models in real time. Heaven Gifts has significantly improved cross-border and cross-department collaboration efficiency, while establishing a data-driven and agile decision-making system for its supply chain.
| Dimension | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Data integration | Independent systems, with data transferred via Excel | Unified data definitions with real-time online sharing |
| Inventory visibility | Fragmented by region, with no global visibility | Interactive view of global inventory, in-transit stock, and demand forecasts |
| Alert mechanism | Post-event analysis with passive response | End-to-end timeliness alerts from order placement to delivery |
| Collaboration efficiency | Repeated confirmation of definitions across departments | Standardized definitions and significantly improved data reuse |

The basic requirement of real-time performance tracking for sales operations becomes highly challenging in a global context. Black Friday in the Americas and Christmas promotions in Europe follow very different rhythms. Different regions also have very different requirements for reporting dimensions, visualization styles, and information timeliness. Under the traditional model, fixed reports lacked flexibility, and frontline sales teams often missed business opportunities simply because they were waiting for data.
With its flexible architecture, Quick BI accurately addresses the complexity of global sales operations data needs. Its core strengths translate into three major capabilities:
This efficient and flexible model of data autonomy breaks the inefficient loop of submitting requests, waiting for developers, and repeatedly making adjustments. It helped Heaven Gifts establish a new global sales operations model centered on real-time visibility and personalized views. Data has shifted from being a delayed record of the past to becoming a real-time engine that drives global business growth.

Unlocking technical value also requires organizational support. The Heaven Gifts data team used Quick BI to establish a standardized collaboration mechanism across the business, development, and product teams. In this model, the business team submits requirements, the data development team standardizes data definitions, and the data product team is responsible for implementation and experience optimization. This creates an efficient end-to-end workflow for data requirements, from request submission to report delivery.
With this efficient mechanism in place, complex reports can be delivered in 1 to 2 weeks, while the development cycle for new performance dashboards has been shortened from 2 weeks to 3 days. Response speed to business requirements has increased by nearly 5 times. Core data dashboards now receive 12,000 monthly visits, and data has become a widely used decision-making tool across the organization. Overall operational efficiency has increased by more than 50%, reducing costs and improving efficiency.
By reshaping internal collaboration models, Heaven Gifts has unlocked data productivity. Data requirements are no longer constrained by long development cycles, but can now be rapidly transformed into immediate drivers of business growth.

Heaven Gifts’ digital transformation proves one thing: the value of BI tools goes far beyond report automation and data visualization. It lies in rebuilding the enterprise’s foundation for global decision-making. With Quick BI, Heaven Gifts not only broke down physical data silos across time zones and departments, but also removed collaboration barriers caused by delayed information and misaligned understanding.
Data has shifted from delayed records used for retrospective analysis to a forward-looking guide for prediction and action. More than 300 business users have evolved from passive data requesters into active decision-makers. In this way, Heaven Gifts has successfully built an intelligent operations system defined by real-time awareness, agile response, and global collaboration. This is not only an efficiency transformation across supply chain and sales, but also a key path for Chinese enterprises seeking to expand globally—using data to manage uncertainty and compete for the future.
Looking ahead, AI-powered decision-making will be more deeply integrated into this system, and data-driven capabilities will continue to support the global expansion of Heaven Gifts.
