Dun & Bradstreet x Alibaba Cloud: Data Intelligence + AI Drives Sustainable Business Growth

Recently, at the China International Import Expo (CIIE), Alibaba Cloud was invited to participate in a roundtable discussion hosted by Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) titled "AI and Data: Double-Wheel Driven Marketing Expansion for Global Reach." Experts and business leaders from Alibaba Cloud, D&B, ZKH, and SAP shared in-depth insights across various dimensions – from market insight, customer profiling, and localization strategies to trust building and future AI paradigm shifts. They collectively explored how enterprises can leverage AI and data analysis to build intelligent, efficient, and credible global marketing and supply chain systems during their international expansion.

During the discussion on data-driven international customer acquisition, Dr. Pei Shen, Vice President of International Business, General Manager of International Strategy & Market Insight at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Group, metaphorically described overseas market data insight as the "Amap" for frontline teams. He stressed the necessity for global enterprises to develop a dual-axis evaluation model—balancing accessibility and potential—by cross-referencing vertical industry and macro data, thereby accurately pinpointing high-value niche markets.

In addition, Dr. Shen also outlined three transformative changes that AI development will bring:

Talent Level: Employees will evolve from executors to AI collaborators, focusing on validating AI outputs, assessing their business impact, and making informed decisions.
Business Process Level: Enterprises must develop AI-callable databases and APIs to enable AI to provide customized sales scripts and customer insights for frontline teams, thereby intelligentizing business processes.
Corporate Culture Level: Companies should foster an "iterative culture" that encourages active AI utilization across various scenarios, facilitates performance feedback, and establishes AI observability and governance mechanisms to mitigate hallucination risks and ensure continuous optimization.

At this year's CIIE, Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) hosted a series of high-quality thematic presentations and dialogues under the theme "Data Connects the Globe." During the Expo, D&B and Alibaba Cloud reached a consensus to explore the deep integration and innovative application of data, analytics, and cloud computing technologies. Their goal is to jointly empower enterprises in their digital transformation and high-quality development within complex global markets.
