Chat App Message Service:Quick experience

Quick experience lets you preview the message sending flow and the delivery result without registering your own messaging account. The message is sent from an Alibaba Cloud trial account that the system provides. Quick experience supports WhatsApp.Quick experience supports channels such as WhatsApp and Viber.

Prerequisites

Quick experience does not require your own messaging account, but it does require the following:

Limits

Before you try Quick experience, review the following constraints:

  • Trial period — Quick experience is available for 15 days after Chat App Message Service is activated. You cannot use the feature after the trial period ends.

  • Daily sending limit — Each message service has a daily sending limit. When the limit is reached, the page shows "Daily sending limit reached".

  • Recipient registration — The phone number that you enter must already be registered with the corresponding messaging app (such as WhatsApp or Viber). Otherwise, sending fails.

  • Viber coverage — Viber supports only the following countries or regions: China (+86), Indonesia (+62), Malaysia (+60), Myanmar (+95), the Philippines (+63), Thailand (+66), and Vietnam (+84).

Procedure

Step 1: Select a message service

  1. Log on to the Chat App Message Service console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Quick Experience.

  3. Browse the available message services, and then click the card of the service that you want to try. Message services differ in the message types and the recipient numbers that they support. For details, see Limits.

  4. At the bottom of the page, click Next to proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Select a business scenario

  1. Browse the available business scenarios, and then click the card of the scenario that you want to try.

  2. At the bottom of the page, click Next to proceed to Step 3.

Note

Click Previous to return to Step 1 and select a different message service.

Step 3: Select a message type

  1. Select the message type that you want to send:

    • Template message: A structured message template that has passed review. Suitable for marketing, notification, and similar scenarios.

    • Interactive message: Contains interactive elements such as buttons and quick replies to boost user engagement.

  2. Click the card of the message type to select it.

  3. Select the specific template that you want to use:

    • Template message: Filter templates by category, such as marketing or transactional, and click a category radio button to switch between categories. Each template in the list shows a content preview and button information. Click the card of the template that you want to use.

    • Interactive message: Browse the available interactive templates. Each template shows a content preview and button information. Click the card of the template that you want to use.

  4. At the bottom of the page, click Next to proceed to Step 4.

Note

Click Previous to return to Step 2 and select a different business scenario.

Step 4: Send the message and check the result

  1. View the sending account information. Quick experience sends the message from an Alibaba Cloud trial account that the system provides, so you do not need to register an account of your own. To register your own account, click Register your own account here in the sending account area. You are directed to the overview page of the service that you are currently trying.

  2. In the Recipient number field, enter the phone number that receives the message:

    • WhatsApp: Enter a phone number with country code, for example, 8613012345678.

    • Viber: Enter a phone number with country code. Only supported countries and regions can receive Viber messages. For the list, see Limits.

  3. In the Message preview area on the right side of the page, view how the message actually appears.

  4. Click Send. The system sends the message to the number that you specified.

  5. View the result on the page:

    • Send succeeded: A green message box appears, indicating that the message was sent successfully.

    • Send failed: A red message box appears, indicating the reason for the failure. For the constraints that cause sending to fail, see Limits.

  6. After the message is sent successfully, open the corresponding app on the recipient phone and view the message. For an interactive message, you can reply to the message on the client to start an interaction.

Note

Click Previous to return to Step 3 and select a different message type or template.
