Create and manage Viber message templates in the Chat App Message Service console.
Prerequisites
A Viber channel is created. For more information, see Viber channels.
A Viber Business Account is registered, associated with the Viber channel, and approved by Viber. For more information, see Service ID.
Create a template
Log on to the Chat App Message Service console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Channel management.
On the Channel management page, click the Viber channel ID.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Template design.
Click Add. In the Add dialog box, configure Template name and Language.
Click OK to open the template design page.
Design template content
After you create a template, the template edit page opens. The page layout consists of the language list on the left, the preview area in the center, and the module configuration area on the right.
Body Settings
In the module configuration area on the right, select Body Settings to configure the template body content.
Use the Content editor to enter the template text.
The body content supports a maximum of 875 characters. The editor footer displays the current character count in real time.
OTP Authentication Template Rules
When the template category is Authentication, the following rules are displayed below the body editor under the heading.
The OTP template supports 33 languages. If the language is not supported, English is used by default.
For the text_video_button format, clicking the button opens the video in the phone's default browser.
Preview Template
The preview area in the center of the page displays the template effect in real time. You can review the final appearance before sending.
Submit Template for Review
At the top of the template details page, click Submit to submit the template for review. Templates under review cannot be sent. You must wait until the template review is approved.
Manage template languages
In the language list on the left side of the template details page, you can manage multiple language versions of the template.
Switch language: Click a language item to switch to the language version you want to edit. The language item tooltip displays the language name, review status (with icon), and failure reason (if any).
Add language: Click Add Language, select the target language in the dialog box, and click OK to add a new language version for the template.
Delete language: Click the delete icon next to a language item. In the confirmation dialog, click OK. The language version is deleted and a success message is displayed. At least one language version must remain.
Delete a template
Deleting a template causes all message-sending tasks that use it to fail. Proceed with caution.
On the Template design page, find the template and click Delete in the Actions column.
In the confirmation dialog, click OK.
