After you activate Application Real-Time Monitoring Service (ARMS), you can use all of its sub-services. Activating ARMS is free of charge. Paid sub-services include a free quota. After the free quota is exhausted, the service automatically switches to a pay-as-you-go model. This topic covers how to activate ARMS, the different editions of its sub-services, and how to purchase resource plans.
Prerequisites
You have an Alibaba Cloud account and have linked a credit card or PayPal account.
Activate ARMS
Go to the ARMS product homepage. In the upper-right corner, click Log In and sign in with your Alibaba Cloud account and password.
On the product homepage, click Try Now, then click Buy Now on the new page. After you activate ARMS, you will have unrestricted access to its sub-services in public preview.
Activate billing editions
For paid sub-services, activate the corresponding billing edition. After activation, you will receive a free quota. For details, see the tables below. After the free quota is exhausted, the sub-service automatically switches to the corresponding billing model.
New billing model (by ingestion data volume)
For Application Monitoring, Managed Service for OpenTelemetry, and Managed Service for Prometheus, ARMS provides a new billing model for new users based on ingestion data volume. Existing users who want to switch to the new billing model can contact our DingTalk group (Group ID: 37120013838) for assistance.
