Prepaid Resource Plans
Application Monitoring Professional Edition supports purchasing prepaid resource plans. This topic describes the available resource plan specifications and how to use them.

To use a prepaid resource plan, you must first activate Professional Edition. Resource plans cannot be applied if your current version is Basic Edition.

If you have multiple resource plans under your account, Application Monitoring consumes them in order of expiration date. When all resource plans are exhausted, billing automatically switches to the pay-as-you-go method for Professional Edition.

Resource plan deductions are calculated based on the total online time of all applications (rounded up to the nearest hour) and settled daily.

One agent monitors one application instance, such as a Tomcat instance or a Java process.

By default, Application Monitoring stores trace data for 30 days and metrics data for 90 days.

Resource plans have fixed consumption values and do not reset monthly.
Billing cycle
The ARMS billing cycle is one day. ARMS calculates the resource consumption of the previous day, starting at 00:00 on the current day. Bills are typically generated before 08:00 on the settlement day. After a bill is generated, the system automatically deducts the amount from your account balance if the balance is sufficient. You can view your bills on the Expenses and Costs page and check your resource consumption in the ARMS console. For more information, see Resource usage and bills.
Bill generation may be delayed. The actual time a bill is generated may vary.
Promotions
A 50% discount is available for applications deployed in Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK) clusters. This promotion started on February 10, 2020 and is subject to change. For more information, see How is the preferential pricing calculated?.

Activate Professional Edition
You can activate Professional Edition in the ARMS console. On the Resource Status page, locate the Application Monitoring product and click Activate Professional Edition in the Actions column.
