Pricing
Billing methods
AnalyticDB for MySQL supports subscription and pay-as-you-go billing. You can switch between these billing methods.
Subscription: Make an upfront payment at purchase time. This method suits long-term needs. Subscription pricing is more cost-effective than pay-as-you-go, with greater discounts for longer subscription durations.
Pay-as-you-go: Also known as postpaid billing. An order is generated each hour, and fees based on your cluster specifications at that time are deducted from your Alibaba Cloud account. This method suits short-term needs, such as testing. Delete your cluster immediately after use to save costs.
Cost-saving plans
AnalyticDB for MySQL offers two prepaid resource plans. These plans provide a lower unit price compared to pay-as-you-go billing. Because resource plans cannot be unsubscribed, choose a plan size based on your estimated monthly resource consumption.
Storage plans
Storage plans are prepaid storage credits that offset storage costs for hot or cold data.
ACU-hour plans
ACU-hour plans offset costs for reserved or elastic ACU resources. During the plan validity period, your cluster’s hourly ACU consumption is deducted from the plan balance.
