Subscription AnalyticDB for MySQL clusters expire at the end of their billing period. If a cluster is not renewed before expiration, service interruptions or data loss may occur. Enable auto-renewal to keep clusters running without manual intervention.
Pay-as-you-go clusters are billed by actual usage, never expire, and don't require renewal. Keep a sufficient balance in your Alibaba Cloud account.
Renewing a cluster costs the same as purchasing a new one.
Auto-renewal
Auto-renewal prevents service disruptions caused by missed manual renewals. Enable it when you create a cluster, or add it later through the Expenses and Costs console.
Auto-renewal policy

Example: If your cluster expires on March 10, the system attempts deduction on March 7, March 9, March 10, March 16, and March 24. If the March 7 attempt succeeds, the cluster is renewed and no further attempts are made.
If your cluster expires the next day, auto-renewal is not available. Manually renew the cluster instead.

Enable auto-renewal when creating a cluster
When you create a subscription AnalyticDB for MySQL cluster, select Auto-renewal.
Enable auto-renewal in the Expenses and Costs console
Use this method if you did not enable auto-renewal when creating the cluster.
You cannot enable auto-renewal for expired subscription clusters in the Expenses and Costs console.

Log on to the AnalyticDB for MySQL console.

In the top navigation bar, choose Expenses > Renewal Management.

Find the cluster by specifying the Expired At, Commodity Name, and Region parameters.

Click Enable Autp-renewal in the Actions column.

In the Enable Auto-renewal dialog box, select an Auto-renewal Period and click Enable Auto-renewal.
Manual renewal
Use manual renewal to extend the validity period of a subscription cluster on demand.
Renew a cluster in the Expenses and Costs console

Log on to the AnalyticDB for MySQL console.

In the top navigation bar, choose Expenses > Renewal Management.

Find the cluster by specifying the Expired At, Commodity Name, and Region parameters.

Click Renew in the Actions column.

Select a renewal duration, read and accept the Terms of Service, and then click Buy Now.

In the upper-left corner, select a region.

Find the cluster and click Renew in the Actions column.
