Billing methods
AnalyticDB for MySQL supports two billing methods: subscription and pay-as-you-go. You can switch between these two billing methods.
Subscription: lets you use resources for a specific period by making an upfront payment. It is suitable for long-term or predictable workloads. Resources purchased with a subscription are more cost-effective compared to pay-as-you-go. Longer subscription periods offer greater savings.
Pay-as-you-go: lets you use resources before paying for them. Bills are generated hourly, with fees calculated based on your cluster specifications and deducted every hour. Pay-as-you-go resources are ideal for short-term, non-persistent workloads. For example, you can create pay-as-you-go clusters to test applications and release them after testing is complete, reducing overall testing costs.
Cost-saving plans
To further reduce costs for long-term usage, AnalyticDB for MySQL offers prepaid resource plans. By purchasing resource plans, you secure a lower unit price for resources compared to the standard Pay-As-You-Go rate.
Storage plans
Storage plans: A prepaid block of storage capacity, used to offset the data storage costs of your cluster.
ACU-hour plans
ACU-hour plans: A prepaid bundle of AnalyticDB Compute Unit (ACU) hours, used to offset the compute costs of your cluster on an hourly basis.
