With this latest model, Alibaba's Qwen has surged into the top five on the LM Arena global company leaderboard, claiming the top spot in China!

🥊 What is LM Arena

LM Arena is an independent LLM leaderboard maintained by LMSYS, an open-source research organization. It uses an anonymous, side-by-side comparison format where developers vote without knowing which model generated each response. These votes are then aggregated to produce final model scores and rankings. As a result, LM Arena is widely regarded as one of the fairest and most authoritative benchmarks for LLM performance in the AI field.

🌟 Debut of Qwen3.5-Max-Preview

Qwen3.5-Max-Preview is the preview of our next-generation flagship model. On the LM Arena leaderboard, it secured a score of 1464. On the “without style control” leaderboard, which evaluates raw model quality independent of response style, it ranked sixth globally and first in China.

Qwen3.5-Max-Preview also demonstrated outstanding performance across sub-task benchmarks, ranking 5th globally in math and 10th in expert-level text capabilities.

💗 The Widely-Loved Qwen3.5 Series

Since Chinese New Year's Eve this year, we have open-sourced our latest-generation Qwen3.5 series, featuring 8 models ranging from 0.8B to 397B parameters. Each model has achieved SOTA performance for its respective size. Among them, Qwen3.5-Plus, with 397 billion total parameters and 17 billion active parameters, punches well above its weight—outperforming well-known models with two or even three times its active parameter count.
