QwenWork, Alibaba’s one-stop workplace AI agent platform, introduced QwenWork E-Commerce, an AI productivity tool built for online merchants, in invite-only beta in China. Users can access the tool with a single click by switching to the “E-Commerce Operations” mode within QwenWork.

The tool applies agentic AI across the merchant workflow, from planning and marketing to content creation and cross-platform advertising, helping merchants manage stores across platforms more efficiently from one workspace.

Its cross-platform operations dashboard consolidates sales, inventory and ad spending data across multiple e-commerce platforms and stores in one dashboard, replacing separate logins and manual report checks. Based on merchants’ targets and recent performance, QwenWork generates product, advertising and livestreaming plans, updates progress daily and flags underperforming stores.

For marketing, QwenWork E-commerce can identify trending topics on social media and match them with product selling points to suggest campaign ideas and optimize advertising. Merchants can also batch-generate main product images, demo visuals and ad copy for dozens of products based on designated requirements and styles, then organize these assets in AI-powered spreadsheets by product, platform and version.

QwenWork integrates with widely used merchant operations and management tools, including tools from Alibaba and third-party services such as Business Advisor, Qianniu, Alimama Wanxiang Lab, Youzan, FastMoss, and LinkFox.

Women’s footwear merchant Liu Xianglong, who has worked in e-commerce for nearly a decade, used QwenWork to move quickly on an opportunity in 3D-printed shoes. It cut store preparation time from 30 days to seven and reduced launch costs under a conventional process from more than 10,000 yuan for market research, product sampling and photography to a few hundred yuan in AI usage fees. AI-generated research and digital product samples also allowed him to test demand before production, reducing inventory exposure and cash-flow risks.

Moving forward, QwenWork will continue expanding AI capabilities across product management, marketing, advertising, after-sales service and supply chains. It also plans to add proactive operations features that detect and explain issues and assist with authorized action.

Available in August, QwenWork attracted more than 30 million users in its first month, over half of them enterprise users. It ranked first in Jefferies’ real-world evaluation of eight leading global workplace AI agents across five office tasks.
