Discovering and Securing Sensitive Data With Alibaba Cloud – Part 2

Part 2 of this 3-part series introduces the Alibaba Cloud SDDP suite and how to discover sensitive data and protect it.

In Part 1 of this 3-part series, we discussed data discovery and how important it is for sensitive data to be discovered and protected. In this article, we will introduce the Alibaba Cloud Sensitive Data Discovery and Protection (SDDP) suite.

Data Discovery and Protection Steps

1.  Data Collection and Analysis

Any data (general or sensitive) flowing through the system or stored temporarily or permanently should be indexed and assembled within the system for better observability and security. This information should be documented for reference.

Once your data is assorted and indexed, you can start analyzing it. Data should be assorted and classified in increasing or decreasing sensitivity levels.
