How do I configure DNS for an Alibaba Cloud domain?
Check if your domain has a ClientHold or ServerHold status. If it does, follow the steps in View the status of DNS servers and handle exceptions.
Ensure you have completed the registrant's email authentication. For instructions, see Authenticate the mailbox of a registrant.
If your website or service is hosted on a server in the Chinese mainland, you must complete an ICP filing as required by regulations before it can go live.

How do I manage a third-party domain?
If your website or app is hosted on a server in the Chinese mainland, an ICP filing is mandatory. You can complete this process through Alibaba Cloud even if your domain is registered elsewhere.
To configure DNS, you must use the DNS management interface provided by your current registrar. Contact them to identify the correct DNS servers and follow their instructions.
