Billing, expiration, overdue payments, and renewal for DAS - Database Autonomy Service

This topic describes the billing, expiration, overdue payments, and renewal policies for different editions of Database Autonomy Service (DAS).

Pricing format description

*.** USD/GB: This is the traffic fee for features such as log traffic, log indexing, SQL Explorer, and cold queries. It is charged based on the amount of data generated.

*.** USD/GB/day: This is the storage fee for data, such as log volume, in cold and hot storage. It is charged based on the log volume and storage duration.

Billing details

Important

New purchases of Enterprise Edition V0, V1, and V2 are not supported. You can no longer upgrade the quota for Enterprise Edition V1. You can migrate data from Enterprise Edition V1 and V2 to Enterprise Edition V3 for free. Before the migration is complete, you are billed based on your current edition. After the migration, you are billed based on the destination edition.

Enterprise Edition V3

Important

Enterprise Edition V3 provides itemized billing for features to make billing more flexible and significantly reduce costs.

After you enable Enterprise Edition V3, you are charged for log traffic by default. Other features are billed based on your usage.
You can migrate Enterprise Edition V1 instances and Enterprise Edition V2 instances with a storage duration of up to 30 days to Enterprise Edition V3 for free. You are billed for the current version until the migration is complete, after which you are billed for the target version. Introduction to Enterprise Edition V3 billing methods

Log indexing (RealTimeSearchAnalytics)		USD 0.04/GB	USD 0.06/GB	This fee is charged when you enable the log indexing feature. Log indexing data is stored in hot storage. Indexes are automatically adapted and created to ensure data read speed. After logs are imported to hot storage, no storage fee is charged for the first day.
SQL Explorer (InsightAnalysis)		USD 0.0134/GB	USD 0.02/GB	This fee is charged based on the log volume when you use SQL Explorer for automatic aggregation and analysis.
Hot storage (SqlInsightHotDataSize)		USD 0.00167/GB/day	USD 0.0025/GB/day	The fee for hot log storage is charged based on the log volume and storage duration. Logs can be stored in hot storage for a maximum of 7 days. After logs are imported to hot storage, no storage fee is charged for the first day. If you enable cold storage, logs are automatically transferred from hot storage to cold storage for free upon expiration.
Cold storage (SqlInsightColdDataSize)		USD 0.0005/GB/day	USD 0.00075/GB/day	Default fee. The fee for cold log storage is charged based on the log volume and storage duration. If hot storage is not enabled, logs are stored only in cold storage. No storage fee is charged for the first 30 days. If you enable hot storage: Newly imported logs are first stored in hot storage. Hot storage is free for the first day. You are charged for hot log storage during the hot storage period (`Hot storage duration - 1 day`). After the hot storage period expires, logs are automatically transferred to cold storage for free. No fee is charged during the cold storage period (`30 days - Hot storage duration`).

Enterprise Edition V2

Enterprise Edition V1 and V0

Important

Only Enterprise Edition V1 is billed on a subscription basis.

Expiration policy

For DAS O&M Service (formerly Economy Edition), Enterprise Edition V1, you can no longer use the features of the corresponding DAS edition after your subscription expires.

Enterprise Edition V1	The subscription period has expired, and you have not renewed the service in time.	The system will automatically disable DAS Enterprise Edition and DAS O&M Service (formerly Economy Edition) and purge their associated data. You will no longer be able to use the features of these DAS versions. Note To prevent data loss, renew your subscription promptly. For more information, see Manage renewals. For more information about the features of DAS Enterprise Edition and O&M Service (formerly Economy Edition), see DAS editions.
DAS O&M Service (formerly Economy Edition)

Note

After your subscription to DAS O&M Service (formerly Economy Edition) or Enterprise Edition expires, you can still use the features of DAS Basic Edition. For more information about the features of Basic Edition, see DAS editions.

Overdue payments

If your Alibaba Cloud account has an overdue payment, DAS Professional Edition under this account will enter the Overdue state. Overdue payments do not affect O&M Service (formerly Economy Edition) that uses the subscription billing method.

Enterprise Edition V3

Enterprise Edition V1 and Enterprise Edition V0

Renewal policy

For DAS Enterprise Edition V1, the fee consists of two parts: a subscription fee and a storage fee for SQL Explorer. Renewal refers to extending the subscription period of DAS Enterprise Edition. The storage fee for SQL Explorer data is pay-as-you-go and does not require renewal. You only need to ensure that your Alibaba Cloud account has a sufficient balance.
For DAS O&M Service (formerly Economy Edition), the service is billed on a subscription basis. Renewal refers to extending the subscription period of O&M Service (formerly Economy Edition).

DAS supports manual and auto-renewal to extend the service period. For more information, see Manage renewals.

Unsubscription policy

If you want to unsubscribe from DAS Enterprise Edition or O&M Service (formerly Economy Edition), read the related notes and instructions before you proceed. For more information, see Disable O&M Service (formerly Economy Edition) and Enterprise Edition.

Important

After you unsubscribe from DAS Enterprise Edition, the SQL Explorer and Audit features for the corresponding database instance are disabled, and all related data is purged. If you want to reduce storage costs without disabling these features, you can shorten the storage duration for SQL Explorer and Audit data.
