Database Autonomy Service (DAS) Enterprise Edition provides the SQL Explorer and Audit feature to record and analyze the execution of SQL statements. This service, formerly known as DAS Professional Edition, is available in multiple versions that use different billing methods. This topic describes the supported databases, regions, billing details, benefits, and important notes for each version.
DAS Economy Edition is scheduled to be upgraded to O&M Service between July and August 2025. After the upgrade, Enterprise Edition instances will no longer include the features of Economy Edition. If you need these features, enable O&M Service. For more information, see Announcement on Separating Economy Edition Features and Charging for Managed Services.
DAS Enterprise Edition
Enterprise Edition (formerly Professional Edition) is a paid service that includes all features of the Economy Edition and adds the SQL Explorer and Audit feature.
You can no longer purchase new subscriptions for Enterprise Edition V0, V1, or V2. You also cannot upgrade the specifications of Enterprise Edition V1. You can migrate from Enterprise Edition V1 or V2 to Enterprise Edition V3 for free. You are charged based on your current version until the migration is complete. After the migration is complete, you are charged based on the new version.
You can view the DAS Enterprise Edition version of your database instance in the upper-right corner of the instance details page or on the Version Management page in the DAS console.

Benefits
After you enable DAS Enterprise Edition, you gain access to the following features:
When you enable DAS Enterprise Edition, the SQL Explorer and Audit feature records all Data Query Language (DQL), Data Manipulation Language (DML), and Data Definition Language (DDL) operations. This information is output by the database kernel and has a minimal impact on CPU usage.
Audit: Search for SQL statements across multiple dimensions and export the results.
Security audit (old version): Detects high-risk SQL statements, SQL injection attacks, abnormal SQL statements, and new access sources to protect your data.
SQL Explorer: Provides rapid fault diagnosis, SQL template and traffic retrieval, and SQL health checks.
Pre-calculates, analyzes, aggregates, and stores SQL data with a one-minute granularity.
Quickly locates and resolves faults caused by problematic SQL statements.
Exports SQL templates and traffic data from the database.
Traffic playback and stress testing: Provides an intelligent stress testing feature to perform capacity assessment, playback testing, and peak stress testing based on historical business scenarios and traffic.
Automatic SQL optimization: Automatically identifies problematic SQL queries, generates index optimization suggestions, and creates indexes without causing table locks.
Important notes
After purchasing DAS Enterprise Edition, you may encounter the following issues due to version limitations:
Self-managed databases: Enterprise Edition is not available for self-managed databases.
ApsaraDB databases: For information about the supported databases and regions, see Editions and supported features.
The storage for DAS Enterprise Edition is provided by DAS and does not use the storage space of your database instance.
You can use the Audit, Security audit (old version), and SQL Explorer features only for data that is generated after you enable DAS Enterprise Edition and stored within the specified Data Retention.
Disabling DAS Enterprise Edition for a database instance also disables the SQL Explorer and Audit feature. This action does not affect your business operations. However, all related data, such as SQL Explorer data and analytical data, will be deleted. Before you disable DAS Enterprise Edition, export and save your data locally. For more information, see Disable SQL Explorer and Audit.
After you enable or disable DAS Enterprise Edition for a database instance, you must wait about 3 minutes before you can enable or disable it again.
