If you need to reduce the number of database instances that use DAS Enterprise Edition or DAS Economy Edition, or if you no longer use DAS Enterprise Edition or DAS Economy Edition, you can disable DAS Enterprise Edition or DAS Economy Edition. This topic describes how to disable DAS Economy Edition or DAS Enterprise Edition.
Precautions
After you disable DAS Enterprise Edition for a database instance, the SQL Explorer and Audit feature is disabled for the database instance, and the SQL Explorer and Audit logs are cleared. This does not affect your business.
If you want to only reduce the storage fees for the SQL Explorer and Audit data, you can reduce the storage duration of the SQL Explorer and Audit data. For more information, see Enable and manage DAS Economy Edition and DAS Enterprise Edition.
Before you disable DAS Enterprise Edition for a database instance, export the SQL Explorer and Audit logs to your computer. For more information about how to export data, see the Disable SQL Explorer and Audit section of the "Overview" topic.
NoteThe minimum storage duration of the SQL Explorer and Audit data is 30 days.
After you disable DAS Enterprise Edition for a database instance, the system releases the storage space occupied by the SQL Explorer and Audit data. The amount of time taken to release the storage space varies based on the data volume. No fees are incurred during the release.
After you disable DAS Economy Edition for a database instance, all the value-added features and new features provided by DAS Economy Edition are disabled, and the related historical data is cleared.

You are charged subscription fees for using DAS Economy Edition and DAS Enterprise Edition V1. To disable DAS Economy Edition or DAS Enterprise Edition V1 for your Alibaba Cloud account and claim a refund, perform the following steps:
Disable DAS Economy Edition or DAS Enterprise Edition V1 for all database instances within your Alibaba Cloud account. For more information, see the Disable DAS Economy Edition or DAS Enterprise Edition for a database instance section of this topic.
Disable DAS Economy Edition or DAS Enterprise Edition V1 for your Alibaba Cloud account and claim a refund. For more information, see the Disable DAS Economy Edition or DAS Enterprise Edition V1 for an Alibaba Cloud account section of this topic.
If you want to disable DAS Enterprise Edition V0, V2, or V3 for a database instance, no refunds are involved because you are not charged subscription fees for available instances. You can only disable DAS Enterprise Edition for the database instance.
After you disable DAS Economy Edition and DAS Enterprise Edition, you can still use the features of DAS Basic Edition. For more information, see DAS editions and supported features.
Disable DAS Economy Edition or DAS Enterprise Edition for a database instance
Disable DAS Enterprise Edition V3
Log on to the DAS console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Version Management.
On the Edition Management page, click the Enterprise Edition Instance tab, and then click the Tiered Billing tab.
On the Tiered Billing tab, find the database instance for which you want to disable DAS Enterprise Edition V3 and click Set Duration in the Actions column. In the Set SQL Storage Duration panel, clear all features and click Submit.
Disable DAS Enterprise Edition V2
Log on to the DAS console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Version Management.
On the Edition Management page, click the Enterprise Edition Instance tab, and then click the Unified Billing tab.
On the Unified Billing tab, find the database instance for which you want to disable DAS Enterprise Edition V2 and click Set Duration in the Actions column. In the Set SQL Storage Duration dialog box, turn off SQL insight and audit and click OK.
Disable DAS Enterprise Edition V1
Log on to the DAS console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Version Management.
On the Edition Management page, click the Enterprise Edition Instance tab, and then click the Unified Billing tab.
On the Unified Billing tab, find the database instance for which you want to disable DAS Enterprise Edition V1 and click Set Duration in the Actions column.
If the value of the Available Instances parameter is 0, no subscription database instances for which DAS Economy Edition is enabled exist within the Alibaba Cloud account.
In the Set SQL Storage Duration dialog box, turn off SQL insight and audit and click OK.
Disable DAS Enterprise Edition V0
Log on to the DAS console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Version Management.
On the Edition Management page, click the Enterprise Edition Instance tab, and then click the Unified Billing tab. On the Unified Billing tab, click the Audit tab in the Instances section.
On the Audit tab, find the database instance for which you want to disable DAS Enterprise Edition V0 and click Set Duration in the Actions column. In the Set SQL Storage Duration dialog box, turn off Audit and click OK.
Disable DAS Economy Edition
Log on to the DAS console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Version Management.
On the Edition Management page, click the Economy Edition Instance tab.
On the Economy Edition Instance tab, find the database instance for which you want to disable DAS Economy Edition and click Disable DAS Economy Edition in the Actions column. In the panel that appears, read the risk warning, select the check box, and then click Disable DAS Economy Edition.
If the value of the Available Instances parameter is 0, no database instances for which DAS Economy Edition is enabled exist within the Alibaba Cloud account.
Disable DAS Economy Edition and DAS Enterprise Edition V1 for an Alibaba Cloud account
You are charged for DAS Enterprise Edition V0, V2, and V3 on a pay-as-you-go basis. After DAS Enterprise Edition is disabled for a database instance, the billing stops. You cannot claim a refund.
Before you disable DAS Economy Edition or DAS Enterprise Edition V1 for an Alibaba Cloud account, you must disable DAS Economy Edition or DAS Enterprise Edition V1 for all database instances within the Alibaba Cloud account. If you want to disable DAS Enterprise Edition V1 and claim a refund, choose in the upper-right corner of the DAS console.
