Project Introduction

The most-watched video format on earth is a rectangle you hold in one hand. Short-form vertical drama has quietly become a global phenomenon on TikTok, Reels, and Shorts — but making it still requires the machinery of traditional production: a script, a cast, a crew, a camera, an edit suite. Drama916 is an AI-powered platform that collapses all of that into a single idea. It helps creators turn a concept into an engaging 9:16 story using AI-generated visuals, characters, and storytelling.

Project Value

Short-form video production is usually slow, expensive, and team-heavy — which means the people with the best stories are often the ones who can least afford to tell them. Drama916 makes production faster, easier, and dramatically more affordable. It enables a single creator to produce cinematic stories without expensive equipment, without hiring actors, and without assembling a traditional production team. The value isn't just cost; it's access. It puts a film studio in the hands of anyone with a premise.

Solution

Drama916 runs an AI-powered workflow that transforms story ideas into short vertical videos end to end. Qwen models assist with scriptwriting, scene planning, and character development — turning a rough concept into a structured narrative with defined characters and beats. AI video generation then brings those stories to life on screen. The whole pipeline is designed to simplify production: idea in, structured story, then finished vertical video out, without the creator having to babysit a dozen disconnected tools.

Highlights

The platform leans on Qwen models for the creative backbone — AI-powered storytelling, script generation, character development, and scene planning — producing structured narratives that are ready for video generation. Wan, Alibaba Cloud's generative video model, then turns those narratives into the final vertical footage. It's a clean illustration of the Qwen Cloud creative stack working as one: language models to conceive and structure the story, a video model to render it, all running on a single platform so a solo creator can move from premise to published drama.
