At the 2021 Trusted Cloud Summit, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) announced the results of the Trusted Cloud Assessment. Alibaba’s Cloud-Native won three awards in Trusted Cloud best practices. It also was one of the first batches to pass a series of advanced-level certifications in professional competency assessment.

Trusted Cloud Assessment is a sub-brand of the CAICT. It is currently the only authoritative certification system for cloud services in China. The assessment results are recognized as the most authoritative and can best reflect the degree of market recognition in the industry. ChaosBlade is an open-source Chaos Engineering project of Alibaba that has become a CNCF Sandbox project. Enterprise Distributed Application Service (EDAS) has accumulated technical practice in the PaaS layer for more than ten years. Alibaba Cloud Serverless App Engine (SAE) is a next-generation of the all-in-one application hosting platform that integrates serverless technology and the microservices model perfectly. SAE can move Spring Cloud, Dubbo, and HSF applications to the cloud without transformation. The platform also provides monitoring and diagnostics, automatic image building, Java comprehensive process acceleration, multiple release policies, second-level elasticity, and other capabilities. SAE also supports Jenkins, Apsara, and DevOps plug-ins and other deployment applications and can deploy applications in any language through Docker images.

Zero threshold + zero transformation + zero container foundation enables enterprises to enjoy the technical bonus brought by Serverless + K8s + microservices instantly. Serverless Container Service Passes the Advanced-Level Certification from CAICT

Alibaba Cloud Serverless Kubernetes (ASK) is a serverless Kubernetes container service (Serverless K8s) launched by Alibaba Cloud. It has comprehensive Kubernetes compatibility. It improves the agility and elasticity of container application deployment and reduces customers' computing costs significantly by fully hosting Kubernetes services. In addition, it allows customers to focus on business applications rather than basic infrastructure management. Alibaba Cloud Container Service for Kubernetes is one of the only products in China that has been listed in the Gartner Public Cloud Container Report for three consecutive years. Serverless containers are regarded as one of the main differences in the container service platform of cloud service providers in the Gartner 2021 Public Cloud Container Service Market assessment report.

Each Pod in an ASK cluster runs in a secure and isolated container runtime built on an Elastic Container Instance (ECI). The underlying compute resources of each elastic container instance are isolated by lightweight virtual sandboxes. Elastic container instances do not affect each other. Based on the deeply optimized Serverless container architecture of Alibaba Cloud, ASK clusters can obtain great elasticity easily without being limited by the node computing capacity of the clusters. Currently, ASK can launch 1,000 running pods per minute. A single cluster supports 20K Pods easily.

Service Mesh Passes the Advanced-Level Certification from Trusted Cloud with the Highest Total Score and Full Marks

Alibaba Cloud Service Mesh (ASM) is an infrastructure for the unified management of a variety of heterogeneous services. As a hosting platform, it manages microservices data traffic and is compatible with Istio. It simplifies service administration in all aspects through traffic shaping, mesh monitoring, and inter-service communication security. Additionally, it provides unified management of services running on heterogeneous computing infrastructures. It is suitable for Kubernetes clusters, serverless Kubernetes clusters, ECS instances, and self-built clusters.

Since its commercialization in 2019, the Alibaba Cloud Fault Drill Platform has won nearly 1,000 customers thanks to its diversified experimental tools, automatic tool deployment, multi-dimensional drills, flexible process scheduling, various fault scenarios, practical drill templates, professional solutions, safe protection drill, and in-depth cloud product integration. It helps enterprises, including Huatai Securities, Bixin Technology, and Qinbaobao Company, build digital resilience in the cloud-native age.

Enterprises can measure the fault tolerance of microservices, estimate the red line of system fault tolerance, and evaluate the fault tolerance of the system using the Fault Drill Platform for Chaos Engineering. In addition, the platform can verify whether the container orchestration configuration is reasonable and test whether the PaaS layer is stable. It can verify the timeliness of alerts and improve the accuracy and effectiveness of alerts.
