Quick Audience:PUSH Marketing Overview

Last Updated:May 06, 2025

PUSH marketing is connected to the Umeng U-Push Platform and supports regular or instant PUSH operations on audience. By creating push marketing tasks, you can push personalized push messages to the users of the brand-side app, effectively improving user stickiness and brand app popularity.

Android apps can be pushed to vendor channels to improve reach rates.

Supports triggering after a user clicks on a message:

  • Evokes the application.

  • Opens the specified link (Android app only).

  • Open the specified page in the app (Android apps only).

  • Use custom parameters to open the specified page in the app.

PUSH Marketing Process

The process of using PUSH marketing in Touch Marketing is:

  1. PUSH marketing supports sending PUSH messages to the following ID types associated with an audeince, using an audeince created by yourself, or a public audeince created by others:

    • IDFA (original text /AES) and DeviceToken (original text /AES): sent by using an iOS push application.

    • IMEI (original text /AES), OAID (original text /AES), and DeviceToken (original text /AES): sent through an Android PUSH application.

    Note
    • DeviceToken is not a preset ID type. You must add DeviceToken as a custom ID in the ID Type Management section. Then, you can enter and use DeviceToken in Quick Audience.

    • Umeng U-Push Platform will no longer support OAID, IMEI, and IDFA. We recommend that you switch to DeviceToken as soon as possible.

To create a marketing object as audience, you can filter the target group from a data table or an RFM or AIPL model, or upload the list of marketing object IDs as audience. For more information, see Audience Management.

  2. Register the Umeng U-Push Platform and complete the configuration development according to the Umeng Novice Guide:

    • To obtain the PUSH status receipt and analyze the PUSH marketing effect, contact Umeng to activate Umeng Pro.

    • If you want to use custom parameters to open a specified page in an app when you integrate Push SDK, you can follow the instructions in the Add Key Value Pair Parameters to Messages Guide to develop a custom key-value pair. Then, develop App by yourself so that it can open the corresponding page according to the received custom parameters.

    • If you need to use vendor channels for Android push applications, you must configure and develop the vendor channels in advance by following the Manufacturer Channel Integration Guide.

  3. Bind the Umeng PUSH account to Quick Audience. For more information, see Account Authorization.

  4. The organization administrator configures the Umeng PUSH API. For more information, see Create PUSH API.

  5. (Optional) You can limit the number of push messages sent to the same user within a certain period of time and the Do-Not-Disturb period. For more information, see Fatigue Control.

  6. For more information about how to create a PUSH task, see Create PUSH Tasks.

  7. After a PUSH task is created, perform PUSH Marketing Task Management to view the execution status and delivery details of the task.

  8. After the PUSH is sent, perform PUSH Marketing Effect Analysis.
