Multi-zone deployment for instances of MongoDB 4.4 and later

New feature

ApsaraDB for MongoDB instances of MongoDB 4.4 and later support multi-zone deployment to meet the requirements for zone-disaster recovery. Multi-zone deployment is supported for instances that are deployed in the following regions and zones:

  • China (Hangzhou): Hangzhou Zone G, Zone H, and Zone I

  • China (Shanghai): Shanghai Zone B, Zone G, and Zone L

  • China (Beijing): Beijing Zone F, Zone H, Zone L, and Zone K

  • China (Shenzhen): Shenzhen Zone D, Zone E, and Zone F

  • China (Hong Kong): Hong Kong Zone B, Zone C, and Zone D

  • China (Ulanqab): Ulanqab Zone A, Zone B, and Zone C

The Storage Analysis feature of CloudDBA is available only for replica set instances that run MongoDB 4.0 or later.

Support for MongoDB 4.4 and 5.0 in sharded cluster instances

New feature

Cloud disks can be used on sharded cluster instances that run MongoDB 4.4 or 5.0. In this case, specific issues with local disks can be resolved. These issues include slow configuration change, long backup and restoration process, and inflexible combination of computing and storage resources.

The Overview page is available. This page displays information in the following sections to help you view the overall instance statistics and manage instances that belong to the current account and a specific resource group:

  • Instance Dashboard: displays the total number of instances within the current account, including the number of instances that were created within the last seven days, the number of instances that are running, the number of subscription instances that are about to expire within the last seven days, and the number of subscription instances that have expired.

  • Instance Distribution: displays instances that belong to the current account in different regions.

  • Tutorial: displays the step and instruction links related to instance creation and usage.

  • Scheduled Events: displays O&M events for all instances, including the events of instance migration and version upgrade.

  • Quick Access: displays entries to access common documentation.

  • Updates: displays the latest features and product updates.

  • Technical Support: displays a link to FAQs and a DingTalk QR code for technical support and exchange.

Official launch of the audit log feature

As of January 6, 2022, the official version of the audit log feature has been launched in all regions.

Note
  • This feature is supported only for ApsaraDB for MongoDB instances that use general-purpose local disks or dedicated local disks.

  • You are charged based on the storage usage and retention period of audit logs. For more information, visit the Pricing tab of the ApsaraDB for MongoDB buy page.

  • After the official launch of the audit log feature, you cannot apply for the free trial audit log feature.
