Lindorm:Billing

Last Updated:Aug 28, 2025

Lindorm provides a transparent and flexible billing system that covers instance types, storage, and value-added services. Lindorm supports both subscription (prepaid) and pay-as-you-go (postpaid) billing methods. You can also change configurations and view your bills in real time. This topic describes the billing components, billing methods, rules for configuration changes, renewal procedures, and the Refund policy.

Billable items

Lindorm (new)

The fees for the new version of Lindorm consist of five parts: fixed fees, storage fees, node type fees, node memory fees, and optional value-added service fees.

Billing component

Description

Fixed fee

The fixed operating cost of a master node for a single database. When an instance starts, a master node is required to manage the entire instance. The operating cost of this master node is the fixed fee.

Basic fee

Storage fee

Fees are calculated based on the storage class and capacity you select in a specific region.

Node type fee

Fees are calculated based on the node specifications and the number of nodes you select in a specific region.

Note

If you select multiple engines, the fees are calculated based on the total number of cores for nodes of the same type.

Node memory fee

Fees are calculated based on the amount of node memory you select in a specific region.

Note

If you select multiple engines, the fees are calculated based on the total memory (in GB) for nodes of the same type.

Value-added service fee (optional)

Elastic computing resources

  • This fee is incurred only after you enable a compute engine.

  • You are charged for the computing resources you use on an hourly basis.

  • Elastic resources are a paid service. Set a reasonable upper limit for elastic resources to avoid excessive fees caused by sudden increases in data volume.

  • The upper limit for elastic resources only restricts the maximum computing resources that the compute engine can use. It does not represent the actual amount of resources used.

You can change the billing method of an instance. For more information, see Change the billing method from pay-as-you-go to subscription or Change the billing method from subscription to pay-as-you-go.

Billing for configuration changes

When you change the configuration of an instance, the applicable fees are calculated based on the instance's billing method and the specific changes. For more information, see Change configurations.

When you change the configuration, the system calculates the relevant fees based on the changes.

  • When you upgrade or add nodes, the system calculates the fees you need to pay.

  • When you downgrade or delete nodes, the system calculates the refund amount.
