If you plan to use a pay-as-you-go Lindorm instance long-term, switching to subscription reduces costs by locking in a prepaid rate for the duration you select.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure that:

The instance is in the Running state and uses the pay-as-you-go billing method

The instance is a Lindorm, Lindorm Lightweight, or Lindorm Tunnel Service instance

Your Alibaba Cloud account has no unpaid subscription orders for this instance. If an unpaid order exists, log on to the Billing Management consoleOrders and go to Order Management to complete or cancel the payment before proceeding

Your Alibaba Cloud account has enough balance to pay the subscription fees
Switching rules
| Rule | Details |
|---|---|
| Billing change | A subscription order is generated when you initiate the switch. If you do not pay or cancel this order, you cannot purchase a new instance or switch billing methods again until the order is resolved. |
| Instance release | A subscription instance cannot be manually released. To release it before the subscription expires, unsubscribe it from the console. See Unsubscribe from a subscription instance. |
Switch to subscription

Log on to the Lindorm console.

In the upper-left corner, select the region where the instance is deployed.

On the Instance List page, click Change to Subscription in the Actions column of the target instance.

On the Switch to Subscription page, configure the subscription:

Select a Subscription Length and review the resulting Expiration Date:.

Read the Terms of Service and click Buy Now.

On the Payment page, follow the prompts to complete the payment.
