This topic describes the release notes for Hybrid Backup Recovery (HBR) and provides links to the relevant references.
|Tablestore backup||HBR uses Tunnel Service of Tablestore to back up data with high performance. You do not need to install an HBR client. HBR provides out-of-the-box full backup and incremental backup capabilities and supports data recovery at any point in time.||2022-02-25||Tablestore Backup|
|ECS instance backup||HBR provides the ECS instance backup feature to protect the data on ECS instances based on disk snapshots. HBR provides automatic backup policies for ECS instances and a GUI console. In the HBR console, you can configure backup or restoration parameters. You can also perform restore, clone, and disaster recovery operations. You can manage backup files by using ECS instances instead of disks. This way, you can protect data on ECS instances in an efficient manner.||2021-12-06||ECS instance backup|
|Security enhancement||HBR supports KMS-based encryption, immutable backup, and isolation of backup permissions and recovery permissions.||2021-10-08||Enable the security enhancement feature for backup management|
|Cloud backup of on-premises databases||On-premises MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server databases can be backed up to backup vaults on the cloud.||2021-09-10|
|OSS inventory||The Object Storage Service (OSS) inventory feature of HBR can be used to back up a large amount of data from an OSS bucket. This way, the performance of incremental backup is improved.||2021-07-15||Use an OSS inventory list to create a backup plan for a large amount of OSS data|
|Archive data||Large amounts of data can be archived from on-premises file systems to the cloud without the need to analyze billions of files, select the files to be archived, or run a large number of scripts. Archived files can be restored as needed.||2021-05-03||Archive data|
|ECS database backup||Self-managed databases that are deployed on ECS instances can be backed up. The following database types are supported: MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.||2021-01-31|
