Backup statistics

image

The Backup statistics section displays an overview of your backups. The overview includes the following information:

  • Number of Backup Policies: The number of backup policies in the current region. You can view the details of the backup policies in the Policy Center.

  • Storage Vaults: The total number of backup vaults and archive vaults in the current region.

  • Storage Vault Usage: The total size of data stored in backup vaults and archive vaults. This is the basis for billing storage capacity fees. For more information, see Vault types.

    • Standard tier: The amount of data stored in the Standard tier of a backup vault.

    • Archive tier: The amount of data stored in the Archive tier after data is moved from the Standard tier. This is the basis for billing Archive-tier storage capacity fees.

      Important
      • The usage data of backup vaults is not updated in real time. The storage capacity that is occupied by a new backup or released after a backup is deleted is not immediately reflected in the usage data. The maximum latency is 24 hours.

      • Bills are generated every hour based on the actual usage of backup vaults. Because of the preceding latency, the usage data displayed in the console may not be up-to-date when bills are generated.

      • If you back up data at a regular backup cycle, the impact of latency on bills can be ignored. Do not frequently modify backup plans or manually delete backups. Instead, set a reasonable backup cycle and retention period.

  • File Clients: The number of clients that are activated and have successfully completed backup jobs.

    Important

The number of file clients is the basis for calculating the fees for using Cloud Backup clients for file backup. Even if a client is uninstalled, it is still counted as a file client if backup data is retained on the client.

Protected resources

The data is provided by the Backup and Disaster Recovery Center (BDRC) and is automatically updated once a day. For resources with low scores, you can click the image icon in the upper-right corner of the card to go to the BDRC console. In the BDRC console, you can view the risk details and take measures to fix the risks to ensure data security.
