The PC canvas editor provides tools to manage your canvas and widgets, helping you quickly develop data dashboards.
Enter the canvas editor
Access the DataV console.

On the All Applications page, hover over the target dashboard and click Edit to open the canvas editor.
Before you manage the canvas and configure widgets, familiarize yourself with the editor's interface layout and feature overview.
Interface layout and feature overview
The following figure shows the layout and features of the DataV-Board 7.0 desktop canvas editor.

Toolbar |
The toolbar at the top of the editor page lets you switch between the canvas and blueprint, apply beautification, add filters, search globally for layers, commands, widgets, and the design library, refresh the canvas, show or hide the settings panel on the right, switch themes, view error messages, generate snapshots, and preview or publish your dashboard. |

Left tab list |
Shows tabs for features such as Layers, Widget Library, Design Library, Global Variables, Filter Configuration and Application, History, and Data Management. For more information, see the introduction page for each feature. |

Canvas settings |
The center of the editor page serves as the canvas area. You can control the dashboard layout and set the interaction mode:

Page configuration |
When no widget is selected on the canvas, the Page Configuration panel appears on the right. You can adjust the screen size, set the background opacity and color, select a screen scaling method, and generate a thumbnail. |

Widget settings |
Click any widget on the canvas to open its configuration dialog box on the right. You can set the widget's Style, Data Source, and Advanced configurations. For more information, see Configuration item description. |
