Chat App Message Service:QR code management

Prerequisites

• Alibaba Cloud account registration and enterprise authentication have been completed.

• A WhatsApp channel has been created.

• A WABA has been registered for the channel, and approved by WhatsApp.

• Phone number verification has been completed.

Select an enterprise phone number

1. Log on to the Chat App Message Service console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Channel Management.

3. On the Channel Management page, find the WhatsApp channel, and click its ID or Manage in the Actions column.

4. On the channel details page, click QR Code Management in the left-side navigation pane.

5. On the QR Code Management page, select the enterprise phone number you want to display.

   Note

   QR codes and short URLs are associated with specific enterprise phone numbers. When an enterprise phone number is selected, the QR code and short URL generated for it will be displayed.

Generate a QR code and short URL

1. On the QR Code Management page, click Add.

2. Fill in the information as prompted:

   • Enterprise Phone Number: Select the enterprise phone number.

   • Pre-fill Message: Enter the pre-filled information.

   • QR Code Format: Select the image format for the QR code. PNG and SVG are supported.

     Note

     • Only verified enterprise phone numbers support generating QR codes and short URLs. If the phone number is not verified, verify it in the Phone Number Management section of the WABA Management page. For more information, see Number management.

     • When users scan the QR code or click the short URL to open a conversation with the enterprise, the pre-filled information will appear as default text in the input box.

3. Click OK.

   • To edit the pre-filled information and QR code format of the enterprise phone number, click Edit in the Actions column, and then click OK.

   • To delete an enterprise phone number, click Delete in the Actions column, and then click OK in the message that appears.

     Note

     After deleting an enterprise phone number, the QR code and short URL will also be deleted. Users will be unable to open conversations by scanning the QR code. Please proceed with caution.

Download a QR code

1. On the QR Code Management page, find the enterprise phone number and click the text URL in the Download QR Code column to open the image page.

2. On the image page, right-click the image file to save it to your local computer.

Copy a short URL

1. On the QR Code Management page, move the pointer over the URL in the Short URL column.

2. Click the Copy icon, or right-click the URL and select the copy option to copy the URL to the clipboard.
