ApsaraDB for OceanBase:General operations on tenant instances

This topic describes general operations on tenant instances, such as account creation, database creation, database management, account management, performance monitoring, diagnosis, security setting, and parameter management.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for OceanBase console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances.

  3. In the Instances list, click the name of the target tenant instance to go to the Tenant Instance Workspace page. The following table describes operations that you can perform based on your business needs.

    Create an account

    Click Create Account in the upper-right corner and select Normal Account or Super Account from the drop-down list. For more information about parameters, see Create an account.

    Create a database

    Click Create Database in the upper-right corner to create a database in MySQL mode. For more information, see Create a MySQL database.

    Manage databases

    In the left-side navigation pane, click Database Management. The database management page appears. The Databases list contains the following columns: Database Name, Character Set, Status, Disk Usage, and Associated Account. For more information, see Manage databases.

    Manage accounts

    In the left-side navigation pane, click Account Management. On the Account Management page, you can view information such as Account Name, Account Type, and Status. For more information, see Account management.

    Monitor performance

    In the left-side navigation pane, click Performance Monitoring. On the Performance Monitoring page, you can view performance metrics of the tenant instance. For details, see Monitor the tenant performance.

    Diagnose issues

    In the left-side navigation pane, click Diagnostics. On the diagnostic details page, you can view the monitoring data by specifying a period, such as Last 5 Minutes, Last 30 Minutes, Last 1 Hour, and Last 6 Hours. For more information, see Overview. You can also analyze SQL statements and queries and manage sessions of the tenant instance. For more information, see SQL analysis, Session management, and Request analysis.

    Configure security settings

    In the left-side navigation pane, click Security Settings. On the security settings page, you can add IP addresses to an allowlist and create an allowlist group. For more information, see Allowslist group.

    Manage parameters

    In the left-side navigation pane, click Parameter Management. On the Parameter Management page, you can view the list of parameters and parameter modification history. For more information, see View tenant parameters.
