To connect network instances in different regions, you must purchase a bandwidth plan and set cross-region bandwidth resources.

Background information

The sum of all bandwidth values in different regions cannot exceed the bandwidth value of the bandwidth plan. By default, the cross-region bandwidth for Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN) is set to 1 Kbit/s for tests. To connect network instances in different regions, you must purchase a bandwidth plan and set cross-region bandwidth resources.

For example, a CEN instance is associated with a 20 Mbit/s bandwidth plan that connects the mainland China area to the North America area. You can set cross-region bandwidth resources that connects the US (Silicon Valley) region to the China (Shanghai), China (Hangzhou), or China (Heyuan) region. The sum of the bandwidth values in different regions cannot exceed 20 Mbit/s.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the CEN console.
  2. On the Instances page, find the CEN instance that you want to manage and click Manage in the Actions column.
  3. Click the Region Connections tab, and then click Set Region Connection.
  4. In the Set Region Connection pane, set the following parameters and click OK.
    Parameter Description
Bandwidth Plans Select a bandwidth plan that is associated with the CEN instance.
Connected Regions Select the regions to be connected.
Bandwidth Enter the bandwidth based on your business requirements.
