Cloud Enterprise Network:Increase CEN quotas

Background information

Quota Center is an Alibaba Cloud service that centrally manages quotas for multiple Alibaba Cloud services, including CEN. If you use multiple Alibaba Cloud services and want to manage the quotas of all of them in one place, use Quota Center for centralized management.

In addition to Quota Center, CEN provides a quota management entry point in its own console. If you do not need to centrally manage quotas for multiple cloud services, manage CEN resources directly on the CEN quota management page.

Limits

By default, only an Alibaba Cloud account can perform operations in Quota Center. To perform management operations as a Resource Access Management (RAM) user, grant the RAM user the permission to manage quotas: AliyunQuotasFullAccess. For the authorization procedure, see Authorize a RAM user.

Currently, CEN supports adjustments only for privilege quotas and some general quotas.

View quotas

You can view CEN quotas in any of the following ways:

• Open the Quotas page in the product documentation to view all quotas and their default values.

• View quotas in Quota Center. For more information, see View cloud service quotas.

• View quotas in the CEN console.

View quotas in the CEN console

1. Log on to the CEN console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Quotas.

3. On the Quotas page, select the quota type that you want to view and follow the corresponding instructions.

View general quotas

1. In the Quota Type section, click the General Quotas tab.

2. Filter by Keyword to view the name, description, and usage of the target general quota.

View API rate limits

1. In the Quota Type section, click the API Rate Limits tab.

2. Filter by Region and Keyword to view the version and quota value of the target API rate limit.

View privilege quotas

1. In the Quota Type section, click the Privilege tab.

2. Filter by Privilege ID to view the name, description, and effective or expiration time of the target privilege quota.

Increase quotas

If the actual requirement for a CEN quota exceeds its default value and the quota item supports adjustment, you can apply to increase the quota in either of the following ways:

• Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Quota Center console to submit an application. For more information, see Request a quota increase.

• Log on to the CEN quota management page to submit an application.

Increase quotas in the CEN console

1. Log on to the CEN console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Quotas.

3. On the Quotas page, select the quota type that you want to increase and follow the corresponding instructions.

Increase a general quota

1. In the Quota Type section, click the General Quotas tab.

2. Find the target general quota. In the Actions column, click Apply.

3. In the Apply for Quotas dialog box, set Request Quota and Reason for application, and then click Confirm Adjustment.

4. After you submit the application, in the Actions column, click Application Records or choose > Application Records to view the review status of the quota increase application.

   If the status of the application is Approved, the quota increase is successful.

Apply for a privilege quota

1. In the Quota Type section, click the Privilege tab.

2. Find the target privilege quota. In the Actions column, click Apply.

3. In the Apply for Privileges dialog box, set Requested Value, Time, Application Reason, and Notify Result, and then click Confirm Adjustment.

4. After you submit the application, in the Actions column, click Application Records to view the application status of the privilege quota. If the status of the application is Approved, the privilege quota increase is successful.

   Alibaba Cloud evaluates your application based on the information that you provide and then approves or rejects it. The quota application result is sent to you by text message and email.

Quota increase applications are reviewed by the technical support teams of the relevant cloud products. To increase the likelihood of approval, provide a reasonable requested value and a detailed reason when you apply for a quota increase.

Create a quota template

A quota template lets you apply to increase multiple quota items at once. When a quota template is Enabled and you have joined it, the quota template automatically submits quota increase applications for members newly added by the management account of Resource Directory. Existing members remain unchanged.

Before you create a quota template, make sure that:

• You are logged on with the management account of your enterprise.

• Resource Directory is enabled. For more information, see Enable Resource Directory.

• Quota templates are enabled. For more information, see Enable a quota template.

Add to a quota template through Quota Center

Add to a quota template through the CEN console

1. Log on to the CEN console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Quotas.

3. On the Quotas page, in the Quota Type section, select the quota type that you want to add to a quota template and follow the corresponding instructions.

Add a general quota to a quota template

1. On the General Quotas tab, find the target general quota. In the Actions column, click Add to Quota Template.

2. In the Add to Quota Template dialog box, set the target quota's Request Quota and Notify Result, and then click OK.

Add a privilege quota to a quota template

1. Click the Privilege tab, find the target privilege quota, and then, in the Actions column, click Add to Quota Template.

2. In the Create Privilege Template dialog box, set the target quota item's Requested Value, Time, and Notify Result, and then click OK.
