Project Introduction

The Stock Market Trading Simulator (Stock Wizards) offers a simulation platform intended to help people understand how the stock market works. However, the program has several issues that make it challenging for users to make informed trading decisions, including incorrect pricing data, a limited number of stocks to choose from, technical problems, and insufficient risk management tools. Fixing these issues will enhance the user experience and make the simulator more helpful in educating people about the stock market. The Stock Wizard is a platform designed to help users understand the stock market and enjoy a simulated stock trading experience.

Its goal is to enhance the public's knowledge of stocks and investments while avoiding fraudulent applications. The simulator can assist traders in comprehending the mechanics of stock trading and devising better trading strategies.

This project utilizes the following technologies:

  • Programming Socket: as the technology that will become the automated trading system engine.
  • Streaming Processing: after the stock data is released, the next step is a real-time filtering process where each data will be distributed either to customers or to the database as historical data. It also records the stocks at the end of the day.
  • Databases: as the storage for stock data, both historical and real-time, and also used as the storage for user data who will access the frontend.
  • Websocket Programming: as the real-time data connector that will be connected to the frontend.
