Security Center:Refund policy

Last Updated:Mar 31, 2026

To stop using Security Center and get a refund, unsubscribe from your instance through the console. This topic covers refund types, what happens to your data after unsubscription, how to complete the process, and where the refund goes.

Important

This topic covers unsubscription of an entire Security Center instance. To get a refund for only unused licenses or value-added services, downgrade the instance instead. For details, see Upgrades and downgrades.

Refund types

Security Center supports the following unsubscription types for international regions:

TypeWhen it applies
Unconditional full refundWithin five days of purchase
Partial refundAfter five days

For the calculation rules and limits that apply to each type, see Two cancellation types are available for international regions.Cancellation policies.

Troubleshooting

Error: "Failed to obtain unsubscription resource information"

This error appears when the instance is in an abnormal state — for example, it has an overdue payment, is security-locked, or is undergoing a configuration change such as an upgrade or downgrade. Self-service unsubscription is not available in this state.

Refund destination

  • Refunds are processed within two business days after unsubscription is confirmed.

  • The refund generally goes back to the original payment method. If that fails, the amount is usually automatically credited to your Alibaba Cloud account balance.

  • For more details, see Initiate an unsubscription and Refund destination.
