Drive and Photo Service (PDS) is an open data management platform for businesses, teams, and individuals. It offers data storage, analysis, and AI capabilities in one place. PDS has two versions: Cloud Drive for Enterprise (CDE) and PDS Developer Edition. This enables customers to easily create drive and photo services for multiple users. The service is ready to use immediately for teams and individuals, with no development needed.
CDE and PDS Developer Edition are not interchangeable.
CDE
CDE offers enterprise-level file management solutions with high availability (HA) storage and strong security from Alibaba Cloud. It helps customers manage challenges such as searching, sharing, and auditing office data. Additionally, it provides packaged services to enhance enterprise office workflows.

Centralized management and efficient collaboration: This edition is ready to use out of the box and supports real-time synchronization of the latest files on your computer.
Comprehensive permission management: Use flexible permission management to configure different permissions for teams, enterprises, and various branches of group companies.
Multiple security protections: This edition relies on the high-level security protection of Alibaba Cloud and complies with the requirements for the Protection of Information Security.
Customization: Customize the enterprise name and logo to create a unique enterprise style.

PDS Developer Edition
PDS Developer Edition is a data management open platform for enterprises, teams, and individuals. This edition supports custom development to build applications for specific enterprise use cases.
Main features:
File management: Create, delete, modify, and list folders and files. You can also rename, move, and copy directories and files. This edition supports features such as instant file upload, resumable upload, real-time sorting, and fast retrieval.
Photo album management: This edition automatically detects tags and faces in images and extracts metadata, such as the shooting time and location, from images and videos. It also automatically clusters identical faces, generates thumbnails for images, documents, and videos, and sorts items on a timeline.
Event notifications: Detect data changes to facilitate integration.
Connection types: This edition provides various account connection methods. Access the service as an application using signatures based on Alibaba Cloud AccessKeys or JSON Web Tokens (JWTs) based on OAuth. You can also access the service as a user using access tokens based on phone numbers or OAuth 2.0. The service can be accessed over a VPC or the Internet.
