Drive and Photo Service (PDS) is an open platform for developing applications that offer data management, content recognition, and sharing services for both enterprises and individuals. PDS includes white-label applications that are ready to use. With basic configuration, these applications enable users to manage, share, and distribute data easily.
PDS is suitable for use in the following use cases:
Cloud resource leasing
If an independent software vendor (ISV) activates PDS, it is possible to create a domain and a drive for each customer. Drives can be created manually or set up for automatic creation through PDS. Applications can access drive data via API calls, enabling customers to manage their data using these tools. PDS also allows for customization of its applications to better serve customer needs.
In standard mode, a PDS domain utilizes technologies like deduplication, thin provisioning for virtual space over-allocation, and intelligent storage tiering to significantly reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO). Various usage statistics are provided to support operations, and payment is required only for actual physical resource usage. Customers are billed for virtual resources using detailed billing methods. For those who prefer not to develop an application, a white-label app from PDS can be customized by replacing the brand logo and name with a preferred choice.
Drive and album
PDS offers several features to develop a drive and album system for enterprises and individuals, including folder and file management, intelligent image analysis (such as tagging, classification, and face clustering), content-based intelligent search, and integration with user and third-party identity systems. The applications provided by PDS can be combined with existing systems to streamline development.
