ossbrowser 2.0 is a free graphical desktop client for managing OSS. It supports Windows, macOS, and Linux. The intuitive graphical user interface lets you efficiently upload, download, and delete objects. ossbrowser 2.0 is deployed locally and runs directly on your device to ensure smooth operations.
ossbrowser 2.0 is an upgraded version of ossbrowser and is not currently open source. For more information about the updates in each version, see Release notes.
Limits
ossbrowser 2.0 is not yet compatible with non-public cloud environments such as Apsara Stack or Alibaba Gov Cloud. If you are a user of a non-public cloud, use ossbrowser 1.0.
Uploading or downloading files larger than 10 GB over a public network may fail due to network instability. To transfer files larger than 10 GB over a public network, use the command-line tool ossutil 2.0.
Advantages
Manage buckets with an intuitive and simple interface.
Upload and download objects or folders up to 10 GB in batches. You can also preview and edit them online.
Secure your OSS resources by granting access to specific resources based on user roles.
Environment
Support for Windows is limited to Windows 7 or later and Windows Server.
We do not recommend that you use ossbrowser 2.0 on Linux. Because of the variety of Linux x64 distributions, you may need to install dependencies for the graphical user interface. For a better experience, use ossbrowser 2.0 on Windows or macOS.

Billing description
ossbrowser is free to use. However, operations that you perform in ossbrowser are billed in the same way as operations performed in the OSS console. For example:
Upload and download files from your local environment: You are charged for PUT requests, GET requests, and outbound traffic. After you upload files to OSS, you are also charged for storage based on the storage class.
Upload and download files within the Alibaba Cloud private network: You are charged for PUT and GET requests and for file storage. You are not charged for traffic. For example, you can install ossbrowser on an ECS instance to upload and download files over the Alibaba Cloud private network.
If your business requires data transfers between the Chinese mainland and other regions, transfers over the public and private networks may not be fast enough. To improve upload and download speeds, you can enable transfer acceleration. This service incurs transfer acceleration fees. For more information about other value-added fees for OSS, see Value-added billable items.
