This topic describes the new features and optimizations in ossbrowser 2.0.

V2.1.1-beta (Preview) — November 7, 2025

Optimizations

  • Optimized the display of the file list.

  • Optimized the navigation logic of the address bar.

  • Added an option to generate URLs without signature information for files with public-read permissions.

V2.1.0-beta (Preview) — July 2, 2025

New features

  • Support for CloudBox.

  • Support for an English interface.

  • Copy the URL of an OSS bucket or object directly from the address bar.

  • Support for switching to Signature V1. OSS will gradually deprecate Signature V1. Upgrade to the more secure Signature V4 to keep your application running stably.

Optimizations

  • Optimized upload and download: customize part sizes and timeout periods.

  • Authorization improvements:

    • Role assumption is no longer required when a RAM user logs on.

    • Modify the Endpoint when logging on with an authorization code.

New features

  • Account logon: Log on to ossbrowser 2.0 by scanning a QR code with the Alibaba Cloud app, Alipay, or DingTalk. You can also log on with your Alibaba Cloud account password or a Captcha sent to your mobile phone.

  • New user experience: The new interface improves ease of use for file management and transfers.

Optimizations

  • File download: Improved download performance when using an internal endpoint within the same region.

  • File preview: The size limit for text file previews is increased to 100 MB.

  • Direct authorization: An authorization code is now generated when you create a RAM user, simplifying long-term authorization.

  • Role assumption: Grant permissions for multiple folders at the same time, improving temporary authorization workflows.

  • Favorites: More intuitive interface, simplified workflow, and added search.
