IoT Platform provides the O&M statistics feature to help you obtain multidimensional statistics on all devices and improve the efficiency of device management, monitoring, and operations and management (O&M). This topic describes how to use the O&M statistics feature.
Feature description
Only Standard Enterprise Edition instances in the US (Virginia) region support O&M statistics.
By default, the device statistics, event statistics, and working status statistics functions of the O&M statistics feature are disabled. You can manually enable the functions based on your business requirements.
The O&M statistics feature displays the device data of all instances that belong to the logged-on Alibaba Cloud account. Data of removed devices is not included. The displayed device data are updated every day.
Billable items
If you enable the device statistics, event statistics, and working status statistics functions of the O&M statistics feature, computing units (CUs) are consumed to process data. The following table describes the CU consumption rules of devices.
When you purchase an Enterprise Edition IoT Platform instance, you can purchase CUs based on your business requirements. For more information, see Purchase an Enterprise Edition instance.
Number of active devices | Number of consumed CUs for device statistics per month | Number of consumed CUs for working status statistics per month | Number of consumed CUs for event statistics per month |
0~5000 | 0.5 | 1 | 1 |
5001~20000 | 1 | 2 | 2 |
20001~50000 | 2 | 3 | 3 |
50,001~100000 | 3 | 4 | 4 |
If the number of active devices is greater than 100,000, the devices are divided into n groups. Each group contains no more than 100,000 devices. Important n must be an integer. If the quotient is not an integer, the result is rounded up to the nearest integer. | 3*n | 4*n | 4*n |
The following table describes the consumed CUs of an Enterprise Edition instance for which only the device statistics function is enabled.
Number of active devices | Number of consumed CUs for device statistics per month |
6600 | 1 |
66000 | 3 |
660000 | The number of device groups is calculated by using the following formula: |
Usage notes
To view the statistics about a new Enterprise Edition instance, enable the O&M statistics feature for the instance. For information about how to enable the feature, see Enable and disable the O&M statistics feature.
To view different types of O&M statistics, see the following topics:
To check whether the device statistics, event statistics, and working status statistics functions are enabled and view the CU consumption of the IoT Platform instance, see "Check the function status and CU consumption" section in the Enable and disable the O&M statistics feature topic.
