IoT Platform:View Device Statistics

Once the device statistics service is activated, you can access comprehensive device statistics across instances in a single location. Analyze devices from various angles, including metrics, trend changes, and regional distribution of products and devices for specific instances at each lifecycle stage. This topic guides you through the process of viewing detailed device statistics.

Prerequisites

The device statistics service must be enabled. For instructions, see Enable and Disable O&M Statistics.

Background information

By default, the O&M statistics feature is disabled for new Enterprise Edition instances. You can enable the feature based on your business requirements. You can also disable the O&M statistics feature that is enabled. The O&M statistics feature provides the device statistics, event statistics, working status statistics, and custom statistics functions.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the IoT Platform Console or the .

  2. At the top of the console, select the region where your target Enterprise Edition instance is located. Then, in the Instance Overview tab, locate the desired Enterprise Edition instance and single click its name.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Maintenance > O&M Statistics.

  4. Navigate to the Device Statistics tab, select the instance, product, and time period, and then review the data.

    Number of Created Devices

    Monitor the total count of devices across the entire lifecycle stages (creation, activation, online, active) for a chosen time period (1 day, 7 days, 30 days, or all) within a specific instance, and track the month-to-month growth or decline rate.Determine the comprehensive device count throughout the lifecycle stages (creation, activation, online, active) for a selected time frame (1 day, 7 days, 30 days, or all), along with the month-over-month growth or reduction rate.

    Note
    • The count of online devices includes only those that have been online for more than 6 hours within the specified time.

    • The count of active devices includes only those that have had message communication within the specified time.

    Data Trends

    Examine the trends in the total number of devices at each lifecycle stage, quickly identify any abnormal patterns among a large volume of devices, and take prompt action to investigate and resolve issues, minimizing potential losses.

    Regional Distribution

    Explore device distribution by selecting Province or City dimensions. Click the ranking icon to view the top 10 historical cumulative active device statistics at the provincial or city level.

    Multi-dimensional Analysis

    Assess the distribution of device space, category, networking method, connection protocol, device status, and SDK version across each lifecycle stage for a comprehensive understanding of the device landscape.
