Last Updated:Nov 03, 2023

This topic describes how to enable or disable the device statistics, event statistics, and working status statistics functions of the O&M statistics feature and check the status of an O&M statistics function and the computing unit (CU) consumption.

Prerequisites

An Enterprise Edition instance is purchased. For more information, see Purchase an Enterprise Edition instance.

Background information

By default, the O&M statistics feature is disabled for new Enterprise Edition instances. You can enable the feature based on your business requirements. You can also disable the O&M statistics feature that is enabled. The O&M statistics feature provides the device statistics, event statistics, working status statistics, and custom statistics functions.

Enable a function of the O&M statistics feature

  1. Log on to the IoT Platform console.

  2. In the upper-left corner of the IoT Platform console, select the region in which your Enterprise Edition instance resides. On the Overview tab, find the instance that you want to manage and click the instance name.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Maintenance > O&M Statistics.

  4. On the O&M Statistics page, click the tab of the statistics function that you want to enable.

  5. In the upper part of the tab, click Enable.

  6. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.

    Important

If the available CUs of your instance are insufficient, a message is displayed prompting you to upgrade the instance specifications. You must increase CUs by following the on-screen instructions. For information about instance specifications, see Purchase an Enterprise Edition instance.

After you upgrade the instance specifications, you must perform the preceding operations to enable the required statistics function.

Disable a function of the O&M statistics feature

You can disable the enabled functions of the O&M statistics feature. If a function is disabled, the CU consumption immediately stops.

  1. On the O&M Statistics page, click the tab of the statistics function that you want to disable.

  2. In the upper part of the tab, click Disable.

  3. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.

View the function status and CU consumption

On the O&M Statistics page, click the tab of the statistics function whose status you want to view. The function status is displayed. Perform the following steps to view the details of the statistics function and CU consumption:

  1. In the upper-right corner of the O&M Statistics page, click Function Settings and CU Consumption.

  2. In the CU Consumption Details panel on the right side of the page, view the number of devices, CU specifications, consumed CUs, and remaining available CUs of the instance. You can also view the status of the statistics functions and dates when the functions were enabled.

    • In the Specifications and Usage section, click Upgrade next to CU Specifications to purchase additional CUs.

    • Turn on or turn off the switches in the Status column of statistics functions to enable or disable the functions.

    Note

If the CU specifications are less than the CUs that are consumed by statistics functions, a message indicating that the CU is insufficient appears above the function list. In the function list, messages are displayed to indicate that the statistics functions are disabled.

You can configure a monitoring and alerting rule for the CU usage. This way, you can upgrade CU specifications at the earliest opportunity and ensure the availability of O&M statistics. For more information, see Configure an alert for CU usage.

Configure an alert rule for CU usage

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alerts > Alert Rules.

  3. On the Alert Rules page, click Create Alert Rule.

  4. In the Create Alert Rule panel, configure the parameters of the alert rule.

Select IoT Platform - Instance from the Product drop-down list. For information about how to configure other required parameters, see Create an alert rule.

  5. Click Confirm.
