Design resources are very important for improving the visual effect in the scene of data kanban construction. The function of design Resource Management can help users better manage their own design resources, realize resource classification, reuse and sharing, and improve the efficiency and effect of data kanban design. This topic describes the concepts and features of design resources.
Parameter description
Design resources refer to design elements that are used to enhance the visual effect of a data dashboard, including images, videos, and models.
Users of Professional Edition or later can manage and use the design elements of model classes.
Design resource usage interface
A widget that can be associated with a design resource is added to the data dashboard canvas. When you change the design resource that is used by a widget, the design resource dialog box appears. You can upload, retrieve, and use resources in the dialog box. For more information, see Overview.

Design Resource Management Interface
DataV not only allows you to associate design resources with resources in the data dashboard, but also provides a management page for design resources in the Resource Management module of the console. On the management page, you can view, rename, and group design resources. For more information, see Management page.
Comparison of regular method and design resource function method
regular method: Image or video resources are usually used. You can upload a local resource or paste the URL of the resource in the configuration panel on the right of the widget.
ImportantThis resource usage requires you to locally manage all the resources required by the data dashboard. When you use it, you need to upload or paste the address again. On the one hand, it causes a lot of redundancy to the local computer space; on the other hand, the local resources do not have the synchronization function, and cannot be used again after you change the working environment (computer, etc.).
Design resource function method: When you use the configuration items that is associated with the design resource function in the configuration panel on the right side of the widget, you can directly use the required design resource content in the design resource dialog box. For more information about how to use the design resource function, see Call the design resource operation example.
NoteIn this way, you do not need to store the required resources in the local working environment. You can upload your existing resources to the Resource Management page and call them directly in any working environment with your account. This improves the efficiency and convenience of resource use.
