overview-of-design-resources
Design resources enhance the visual effects of data dashboards. You can use the design resource management feature to classify, reuse, and share resources across dashboards, which improves design efficiency.
Parameter description
Design resources are design elements used to enhance the visual effects of data dashboards, including images, videos, and models.
Users of Professional Edition or later can manage and use model-type design elements.
Design resource usage interface
When you add a widget that supports design resources to the data dashboard canvas and change its associated design resource, a dialog box appears. In this dialog box, you can upload, search for, and apply resources. For more information, see Overview.
The following table lists the widgets and styles that support design resources.

Design Resource Management Interface
In addition to associating design resources with widgets on data dashboards, DataV provides a design resources management page in the Resource Management module of the console. On this page, you can view, rename, and group design resources. For more information, see Management page.

Comparison of regular method and design resource function method
-
Regular method: Upload a local image or video, or paste the resource URL in the configuration panel on the right side of the widget.
ImportantThis method requires you to manage all resources locally. Each time you use a resource, you must upload it or paste the URL again. This creates redundancy on local storage and does not support synchronization across different working environments.
-
Design resource method: Select a design resource directly from the dialog box when you configure a widget in the configuration panel. For more information, see Call the design resource operation example.
NoteYou do not need to store resources locally. Upload your resources to the Resource Management page once, and then access them from any working environment by using your account.
